as part of a pact to reduce tension and build trust on the divided peninsula.
Project details were agreed during last month's summit in Pyongyang between Kim Jong Un and President Moon Jae-in.
...the two sides agreed to remove all landmines in the so-called Joint Security Area (JSA) in Panmunjom within the next 20 days.
The deal also provides for
removal of guard posts and weapons from the JSA to follow the removal of the mines
with the troops remaining there to be left unarmed.

At the April summit, the two Koreas announced their intention to turn the DMZ into a "peace zone."
They have already dismantled propaganda loudspeakers and some guard posts along the border.

I see it's Joerg Sprave demonstrating this weapon, I'm a big fan of the guy and his Slingshot Channel on YT.

Hardly "toys" as the Tribunist calls them, but very effective non-lethal weapons.

In places like here in the UK, my best bet for home defence might be one of these, and possibly a decent crossbow if I need to step it up a notch.

The most immediate things I think to watch out for aside from Syria is any retaliation against Iran for their missile attack on ISIS near the American base, the escalation and build up of Pakistan and India's forces on both sides of the border, and if South Korea decides to free the captured Russian vessel and it's crew, and if they don't, what Russia's response will be. Also of note is Israel's upcoming strike against targets in Lebanon this week.

It's really unbelievable how much is happening at once. Catching up again to see what happened today before I go to a planning meeting with the consultant I'm doing the design work for this week. It's freaking nuts!!
