I just spent 10 minutes writing a reply, and then pressed the wrong button and lost it all!
I was trying to say that this really is a moment in history; the "West" has, for the first time ever, completely lost any edge it thought it had and found itself decades behind Russia. This is truly a major turning point.
It begs the question: will it spark a new arms race or is it now too late for the US? which is crumbling from the inside out anyway.
One thing is for sure, whether it goes with a bang or a whimper, it'll take the UK and half of Europe with it.

The US Secret Service said it was routine, and after Putin gave Trump the ball in front of the cameras, Republican Sen. Lindsay Graham called to check if there were no eavesdropping devices.
