The defeat of the Nazis in the Arctic region marked the beginning of the liberation of the rest of Norway from German invaders, encouraged the Norwegian resistance to fight the enemy, doing so with the support of the Soviet operational command.

The occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany ended on May 8, 1945.

According to my knowledge, the first Christian supporters of Judaism were Anglicans and more radical movements in the English Church during the 16th and 17th century.
The first real attempt was made by the Prussian ambassador to the Vatican and later to Westminster Carl Josias von Bunsen. He tried to create a mixed Anglican-Protestant Bishopric in Jerusalem during the 1840s and 1850s. This attempt failed. He promoted the idea of Christianizing the Jews. This is in the context of the events, that led to the Crimean War. Officially there was a dispute between the Russian Czar and the Ottoman Sultan about the protection of this orthodox church in Jerusalem. But the background was to unblock the Russian fleet in the Black Sea and to get the Isthmus between the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. The British immediately saw this a threat to their way to India.
An English-Prussian bishopric in Jerusalem would have occupied this crucial piece of land.

With the founding of the 2nd German Empire the Jewish question became important.

Later the Evangelicals became the most ardent Christian Zionists.
