I have always wondered: Why "Agenda 2030"? Not "2040" or "2050" or something else.

For the fun of it, I tried to calculate the state of global capital accumulation and its time frame.

In 2021 the total capital of the world was $460 trillion. [Oxfam]. Of this BlackRock & Co. had about 8% as assets under management [AVD]. In the previous 2 years global capital grew at a rate of 5% p.a. whereas the 10 biggest "capital organizers" (as Werner Rügemer calls BlackRock & Co.) grew by 15% p.a.

If BlackRock & Co. would continue to grow 3 times as fast as all of global capital, then by 2032 they would manage 20% and by 2037 30% of all of global capital. According to Rügemer 20–30% are often enough to control a corporation.

In other words, in about 2030 or a bit later, BlackRock & Co. would control enough of global capital that the "rest of the world" would have no say anymore about anything of importance. People would literally "own nothing".

The above reasoning is trvial for any analyst and must be well known in the higher echelons of global power. In order to maintain their power obviously the ones who rule capital will need to develop a system of moneyless bureaucratic mastery for most of mankind. Indeed "central bank digital currency" (CBDC) is nothing but a glorified rationing stamp system like in war times, but now personalized making the rationing dependent on compliance ("social scoring").

The time frame may be actually shorter, and apart from the structural fragility of the system and the enormous friction the transition brings, large fractions of global capital are out of reach to US-based capital (e.g. Russia, China). Indeed, arguably the Ukraine war may be an attempt to get a grab of Russia (and subsequently China) to gain time.

At least it seems that time is running out for "GloboCap" (CJ Hopkins) and this may explain the fast pace with which the "New Normality" is being rolled out.
