The situation in Ukraine seems to be getting much more severe. Russia is unloading TRAINLOADS of older T-62 tanks at a rail yard near the Ukraine Border. Troops sent with those tanks have told locals they are heading to Ukraine. This could blow up in a huge way at almost ANY time. What are folks on the ground saying over there?

We spoke about this yesterday. The assassination will deteriorate situation very likely. Donbass militias were put on combat allert yesterday. It's expected that Kiev will try to launch an offensive. In this case Russia will intervene in one way or another I think. So far there are small arms fights and some shelling as usually. This goes on for years already.
And regarding tanks transported in western Russia - I've seen such reports, videos and photos. However, it's good to bear in mind that Russia also supplies Syria with this tanks and they move them from Crimea. Also there are training polygons in Rostov on Don and many other places. So the movement can't be used as implication for anything actually. Also, such reports about "imminent invasion" are here for years. It's just propaganda similar as the example below. Earlier this year there were numerous claims that "Russian tanks are passing to Ukraine". Video was, actually from the area 40km away from the border...:
