#8 - Main news thread - conflicts, terrorism, crisis from around the globe

Post by Talos on Mon Aug 13, 2018 2:47 pm

Jeremy corbyn responds after Netanyahu attack.
Jeremy Corbyn has hit back at Benjamin Netanyahu after the Israeli prime minister criticised him for attending a Palestinian wreath-laying ceremony.

The Israeli prime minister tweeted: "the laying of a wreath by Jeremy Corbyn on the graves of the terrorist who perpetrated the Munich Massacre and his comparison of Israel to the Nazis deserves unequivocal condemnation from everyone - left right and everything in between."

Mr Corbyn replied that the leader's claims were "false".

"What deserves unequivocal condemnation is the killing of over 160 Palestinian protesters in Gaza by Israeli forces since March, including dozens of children," he tweeted.

Coming under attack from Netanyahu is like the ultimate confirmation that you are doing something right.

Dozens of cars are destroyed as gangs of masked youths go on fire-bomb rampages in cities across Sweden

Police said they were dealing with fires in Gothenburg, Malmo and Helsingborg

Around 80 vehicles were reportedly vandalised with stones thrown at police

Emergency services were tackling the fires with no reports of any injuries

The violence comes just three weeks before Swedish voters go to the polls in a general election.

Turkey and Iran, as well as Pakistan, play integral roles in China's One Belt One Road Initiative. The Silk Road transportation-trading network poses a threat to American economic hegemony. This fact alone places these three nations in America's crosshairs.

And I'll bet not one of these buggers had a Swedish surname.

BREAKING: Trump, fed up with Turkey,
is refusing to offer anything else in exchange for Pastor Brunson.

No progress made today between John Bolton and Turkey’s ambassador to US, sources tell me and @justinsink.

Diplomacy continues, but Bolton sent warning: US won’t negotiate.

A pivotal moment then for NATO and the global balance of power?

I see all the jingoist flag-waving rhetoric over on the other site, it's as if they are blind to the damage that Turkey can do to the west.
