C'ville downtown mall still hasn't recovered. I spend a lot of time there, and I'd say the foot traffic is half what it used to be. Businesses are suffering in a big way.
Ouch.
I guess the area of Charlottesville is sort of seen as the geographical border between the southern predominantly conservative states and the northern predominantly progressive states, and now it's like there is somewhat of a a 'no man's land' there...

Fox News host Laura Ingraham has denied claims that her remarks about "massive demographic changes" in the US being a "national emergency" were racist.
On Thursday, Ms Ingraham said she does not support white nationalists at all, calling them "antithetical" to her beliefs.
Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke had reportedly tweeted support of Ms Ingraham's Wednesday show.

Not sure if I shared it here but there were numbers of accidents in this damned Porton Down facility. There is little to none probability that ANY government would try to assasinate someone in such conditions. Except false flag operation...

And well, from what it seems, most people don't believe the governments when they make these Russian novichok accusations either. The story is quite frankly so ridiculous that the only thing I don't get it how the people such as May and Trump can make these accusations with such a straight face. I guess you need to be a special kind of twisted to accomplish that.

I remember being there in June there were always some protests going on of about 3-5 thousand people, small events that weren't felt/noticed even kilometer away from the protest. Those in June protesting were lefties that much I know but she didn't knew what was it all about, she doesn't follow politics.
