If I understand it correctly then in Italy they just scrapped election results and appointed pro-Brussels government regardless the fact that eurosceptic parties, with a plan to abandon €, won the election. Democracy...

When it comes to war its always best to listen to the locals what they think not the big players, leaders that for most of the part don't understand the sentiments and grievance of people who are actually experiencing war. It was same in Yugoslavia where nobody from the outside actually understood the core of the problem for war.
I trust this guy a lot when it comes to assessment of situation in Syria. He's a Christian Syrian nationalist, so his expectations about how the war should end are quite ambitious but it gets you a general feeling of what people close to Assad expect from him. Anyway, he says this war in Syria will not end before Syria takes Golan heights back. This war could last for years to come looking at the map. Syrians got high hopes Turkey will retreat but Idlib province is a major problem where tens of thousands jihadi are located from all over the world still, the most hardened zealots. Liberating Idlib apparently would be a huge task to do.
